HIGHLANDERS, Dynamos and Caps United are expected to clinch a landmark sponsorship deal with a leading funeral assurance company in the next week as the PSL brand continues to grow.
Yesterday, the country's two biggest football clubs Dynamos and Highlanders confirmed that they were involved in discussions over a new sponsorship package and their representatives were talking to their principal sponsors BancABC to ensure that everything was above board and their new deal would not infringe on their standing agreement with the bank.
Bosso chairman Peter Dube said: "As Highlanders, yes, as a club we have had a look at a proposal with a company whose name or nature of business I am not at liberty to disclose at the moment. We are still discussing and the proposal will be subjected to the executive, board and lawyers and of course BancABC our sponsors.
"We would rather have the prospective sponsors reserving the right to talk about this and not ourselves. I think at this stage I can safely say negotiations are on course and hopefully in the near future there could be a signing of the agreement".
