Kaindu rallies Bosso fans

Highlanders head coach Kelvin Kaindu has called upon the multitude of Bosso supporters to rally behind the team during their crucial Castle Premiership encounter against CAPS United at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.
The title-chasing Bulawayo giants have endured a poor run of form in recent weeks and the Bosso fans are itching for a quick revenge over CAPS, who came out 2-1 winners in the reverse fixture three weeks ago.
Bosso, who have 29 points from 15 games, were relegated to second place yesterday by Chicken Inn, who drew 1-1 with Shabanie Mine.
Kaindu acknowledged the important role that his team's fans have played so far in their campaign but urged them not to abandon the team when the chips are down.
"Our fans have always been there for us and they should continue to back us especially when things are not going smoothly," Kaindu said.
The Zambian added that his team would not read much into reports that they were under pressure after going through a barren spell.
"A lot has been said about Highlanders being under a lot of pressure but pressure will always be there even when the team is winning," he said.
"The most important thing is how to handle the pressure and all I can say is that we are moving forward by the grace of God."
Highlanders will be missing the services of one of their most consistent performers this season, Dumisani "Fazo" Ndlovu, who is suspended after accumulating three yellow cards.
Vice captain Eric Mudzingwa is well poised to make a return to the Bosso starting XI as a replacement for Ndlovu but Kaindu said the decision on who will play alongside team captain Innocent Mapuranga at central defence is yet to be made.
"It is difficult to say who will replace Fazo but Mudzingwa is an option because he has done well for us in that position in the past," Kaindu said.
A top performer for Highlanders last season, Mudzingwa has been relegated to making substitute appearances this term largely due to crowd favourite Ndlovu's consistent performances at central defence.
Also missing for Bosso through suspension is Peter "Rio" Moyo and his absence may pave way for Kaindu to play Douglas Sibanda in the holding role and push Hillary Madzivanyika to a more attacking position.
Highlanders' home record this season has been poor with two of the three losses they have suffered so far in this campaign coming at Barbourfields.
