HIGHLANDERS and Caps United are taking advantage of inactivity in the Castle Lager Premier League (PSL) to organise a friendly match to be played at Barbourfields Stadium (BF) in Bulawayo on Sunday.
Highlanders secretary Andrew Tapela confirmed the date yesterday.
"We are actually in the process of organising a friendly match with Caps United at BF on Sunday. It is actually them who came up with the idea.
Both clubs have more than three players with the national team. Administratively, we thought it was a good idea that we play a team that we have finished with in the league," Tapela said.
If the game is sanctioned by the PSL it will present Bosso coach Kelvin Kaindu with a chance to give his new signings more game time.
Highlanders lost 2-1 to Makepekepe in the first league match in Harare before the two sides played a goalless draw early last month in a game in which the match officials hogged the limelight.
Highlanders are hard-pressed to improve their form ahead of their next assignment against Monomotapa at BF.
