FORMER Dream Team stars have started preparations for the Adam Ndlovu Memorial soccer match set for the end of the year.
Ndlovu died in a car crash near Victoria Falls International Airport in December last year which also claimed the life of a female passenger and left his younger brother, Peter injured.
The memorial match is being organised by former national team players who played alongside the late Adam during the famed Dream Team days under the guidance of the late German national Reinhard Fabisch.
Early indications are that the Dream Team select will play against former Highlanders players and there is a possibility of a Victoria Falls Select being involved.
Adam died on his way to a match that was supposed to be between former Bosso players and the Victoria Falls Select. At the time of his death, Adam was the Chicken Inn head coach.
Zifa communications manager Xolisani Gwesela confirmed the developments and said finer details will be issued once the necessary ground work and consultations had been done.
"At the moment nothing has been finalised but I can confirm that something along those lines is being done.
As Zifa we are interested in the memorial match because Adam was a key member of the national team. Once we have done all the consultations with the corporate world as well as the Ndlovu family, we will then advise the public accordingly," said Gwesela.
Mark Dube, Adam's eldest brother said preparations to hold the event had already started.
"He was a key member of the national team and we just have to do something for him. Once we finalise everything, including liaising with the national team, I am sure our house will be in order," said Dube.
