Bosso brace for 'Vietnam' hostility

The title-chasing trio of Dynamos, Highlanders and Harare City are all tantalisingly paired with dangerous opponents as their tight tussle for the Castle Lager Premier League honours reaches fever-pitch.

Highlanders' confrontation with DeMbare supporters is not yet over despite the two having already played their two league matches, as the champions' legion of supporters is set to converge at Rufaro to give relegated Motor Action a rapturous send off that should take Bosso out of its comfort zone.

Of course the Dynamos supporters will be supporting the Mighty Bulls, mostly from Rufaro's eastern stand dubbed 'Vietnam', for their own selfish ends as a positive result for David George's men will be useful for the Glamour Boys' title aspirations.

Highlanders' assistant coach Bekithemba Ndlovu, who has been holding the reins this week for head coach Kelvin Kaindu who travelled abroad, acknowledged Motor Action is a dangerous side to play against at this stage of the season.

"They are relegated but they still have a point to prove," said Ndlovu. This game does not change their situation but I think a positive result against Highlanders is still very important for them.

They are a dangerous side but we have prepared well and we are confident of getting maximum points. The fans can expect a good game from us. We know what we have to do and we will do just that."

Bosso still have to conduct late fitness tests on defender and captain Innocent Mapuranga, as well as striker Gabriel Nyoni.

Bosso duo Masimba Mambare and Milton Ncube will bid their former club farewell as the Mighty Bulls are relegated.

On the other hand Dynamos face an equally tricky assignment at Gibbo where a confrontation with Gishon Ntini's Triangle awaits them.

Ntini has been doing all the talking and boasts of an impressive record against Dynamos, a team he has never lost to in his coaching career.

With their place in the topflight seemingly safe with six points above the danger zone, Triangle are not under pressure, while Dynamos cannot afford even a share of the spoils.

DeMbare will miss suspended defender Patson Jaure, but it is their frontrunners whom coach Kalisto Pasuwa should lose sleep over.

DeMbare scored through a penalty when they defeated Highlanders last week and the strikers who include Washington Pakamisa, Patrick Kumbula and Clive Kawinga have been struggling for fluency.

Harare City also faces a daunting prospect at Rimuka against a Black Rhinos side haunted by relegation.

The army side needs the points as much as the Sunshine Boys and this sets up another mouthwatering clash.
