Highlanders head coach Kelvin Kaindu will be shuttling to and fro Zimbabwe as he attempts to balance his coaching obligations at the club as well as continue with the coaching course he is currently attending in the United Kingdom, an official has said.

Highlanders chairman Peter Dube confirmed this arrangement.

Dube said if connecting flights are available, Kaindu will be available for today's fixture against Motor Action before departing for the United Kingdom to continue with his Uefa B licence course.

"Kaindu's availability for the game against Motor Action depends on whether he is able to get a connecting flight to Zimbabwe or not. If he does, then he will be on the bench today. He is our coach and will be available for as many matches as physically possible even while he is doing his course in the UK," Dube told The Sunday Mail Sport.

After the Motor Action match, Kaindu will be travelling back to the United Kingdom before returning towards the end of the month for the club's fixtures against Harare City and Shabanie Mine.

"Kaindu will be returning for the matches against Harare City and Shabanie Mine before going back to the UK," said Dube.

The Sunday Mail Sport asked Dube about the cost of Kaindu's travel, but he refused to dwell on that.

He argued that placing a monetary value on the travel would shift focus away from Kaindu's importance to the club.

"I don't want to talk about the cost of Kaindu's travelling because it will create a scenario were people will place value on the money and forget about what is more important: that Kaindu is available to see us to the finish line.

"In addition to that, as a club, we believe the course is very valuable for both the coach and the club which is why we have allowed him to attend," the Highlanders chairman said.

Dube would not be drawn into discussing the cost, but suggested that Kaindu is meeting his own travel expenses.

"Kaindu is well paid at the club and is thus able to look after himself. If he needs extra help, he knows that he can call on the club and he may get help if it is possible at the time of the request," said Dube when pressed about the travel expenses.
