Harare City eye Bosso revenge

Harare City will certainly be on a revenge mission when they host top of the table Highlanders in a epic Castle Premiership match at Rufaro Stadium Sunday.

The above tie is the juiciest of all the Premiership penultimate encounters that will be played this weekend as it comes just a week after Bosso eliminated the Sunshine Boys from the prestigious Mbada Diamonds Cup.

City coach Bigboy Mawiwi was left fuming at what he considered to be preferential treatment given to Highlanders at Mandava Stadium last week.

Mawiwi claimed this alleged preferential treatment was aimed at securing the Bulawayo giants' passage to the final to set up a high profile match against CAP United.

It does not matter that his claims were not proven correct after CAPS were booted out by How Mine to set up an all-Bulawayo final, but what matters is that Mawiwi vowed to beat Highlanders in the league because, as he put it after the cup defeat, "this is a game that he can have control over.'"

A single point separates the two sides with log leaders Highlanders on 51 points while City are on 50.

And while third-placed Harare City and Highlanders lock horns in what can best be described as a grudge match in the capital, second placed Dynamos, who are the Castle Premiership defending champions, will also be in action in Bulawayo.

The Glamour Boys will clash with Innscor-sponsored Chicken Inn at Barbourfields Stadium.

Chicken Inn have found a new lease of life under former Motor Action coach Joey Antipas and have won two of the three matches that he has presided over while the other match ended in a draw.
