Zimbabwe international and How Mine striker Simba Sithole has joined Ajax Cape Town, the South African Absa Premiership confirmed Friday.
Sithole starred for the Warriors at the ongoing African Nations Championship (Chan) in South Africa where Zimbabwe were knocked out of the semi-finals by Libya on Wednesday.
"Ajax Cape Town is proud to announce the signing of Simba Sithole who plays for How Mine FC in the Zimbabwean, Castle Premier League," the club said on their website.
"Sithole was signed on a two-year contract and is expected at Ikamva after the weekend."
Sithole departure will be a big blow for How Mine, who had registered the forward for the 2014 African Confederations Cup.
The 2013 Mbada Diamonds Cup runners-up will host Zanzibar side Chuoni in the first leg of the Confed Cup preliminary round qualifier on February 7-9 before travelling for the second leg a week later.
If the Zimbabwean side gets past Chuoi they will play the winner between St Michel of Seychelles and ASSM Elgeco Plus of Madagascar in the first round stage.
