DYNAMOS want to continue with their dominance over Highlanders and have declared war on the Bulawayo giants ahead of their potentially explosive Bob90 Super Cup final at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
It is the two teams' third meeting in the competition in two seasons.
DeMbare, still smarting from another early exit from the Orange Caf Champions League, at the hands of DRC outfit AS Vita, are the holders of the cup having beaten Bosso 6-1 on aggregate over the two-legged final last year.
Badly bruised and eager to impress their legion of supporters, the Glamour Boys have also said they want to sweep everything on offer this season, starting with their epic tie against Amahlolanyama.
"Playing Highlanders is not an ordinary encounter. It's a match that sees every player putting up 110 percent or even 120 percent," said DeMbare's captain and reigning Castle Lager Soccer Star of the Year, Tawanda Muparati.
A brilliant midfielder who can drive the engine room with exceptional efficiency on his day, he said everyone in the squad was more than geared up for Bosso. No one, he said was prepared to carry the tag of having been part of the team that failed to maintain the Harare side's dominance of Highlanders.
Bosso have failed to beat Dynamos since 2006, the year they lifted the league title under Methembe Ndlovu.
"We want to maintain our dominance over them (Highlanders). I know it will not be easy but it's quite possible because we are prepared.
Our unfortunate loss in DRC is now water under the bridge. Our focus now is on this and every cup that will come our way," he said.
Highlanders, who have already lost in a pre-season tournament, falling 1-2 to Chapungu in the CG Msipa Charity Soccer Tournament, booked their place into the Bob90 Super Cup final courtesy of a 2-1 win over Harare City in the semi-final played at Barbourfields Stadium last month.
On Sunday they will come face to face with former player, Masimba Mambare who crossed the great divide in January following unsuccessful contract extension talks with Highlanders. Bosso though, are no ordinary side that can lose to Dynamos again this year, what with their array of stars that they bought following a $100,000 windfall from principal sponsors BancABC.
Bosso invaded the market, signing 10 players in their bid to beat two birds with one stone -winning the league title for the first time in eight years and probably beating Dynamos for the first time within the same period. Highlanders signed goalkeeper Njabulo Ncube from Chicken Inn, Khumbulani Banda from How Mine, Felix Chindungwe from Chicken Inn, Joel Ngodzo, Charles Sibanda, and Welcome Ndiweni from FC Platinum, Rahman Kutsanzira from Caps United, Valentine Ndaba from Shabanie Mine, Mkhululi Dube from New West City and Kudakwashe Mahachi who is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
Meanwhile, chairman of the organising committee Stanley Kasukuwere has assured the two clubs that all is in place in terms of prize money. It will be announced once the loose ends have been tied, he said.
"Let them stay calm. We have always done wonders. This is no ordinary event and everything therefore must also not be ordinary. I mean the old man has turned 90 years and surely the occasion must befit that," said Kasukuwere.
The cup is meant to celebrate President Mugabe's birthday. President Mugabe turned 90 years on February 21 and the main celebrations were held at Rudhaka Stadium in Marondera.
