NJABULO "JB" Ncube has stoked flames ahead of the Uhuru semi-final clash against Highlanders at Barbourfields tomorrow.

Ncube left Bosso at the end of last season when the Bulawayo side failed to offer him a better package.

He has so far scored seven goals in friendly matches for his new club which has seen him win the hearts of many fans here.

"I am going to break the heats of my uncles, friends and my former fans on the day and I think I should apologies in advance.

"I am really sorry to break your hearts tomorrow. I am Bvunzawabaya from Mutare but my mum is Ndebele so I was made to change my surname when I stayed with her but I am from Mutare, Watsomba to be precise, but I am proud to be part of the Ndebeles," said Ncube.

The burly striker was due to retire next season but, after joining the platinum miners, he is on cloud nine and has already claimed that he still has more than three seasons to play.

"At 33 I am raring to go and the Uhuru Cup is a major Cup in Zimbabwe. I want the medal in my cabinet after getting the Msipa Scholarship Trust medal.

"I won the same cup with Bosso under Mukhupali Masuku and I now want to win it with FC Platinum.

"I want to protect my jersey in the team and I can only do that by scoring because we have very good youngsters in Wisdom (Mutasa), Walter (Musona), Livingstone (Gent)."

Ncube is yet to score a goal against his former team following his penalty miss at Barbourfields last month.

He also failed to find the target at Mandava in another friendly match last week but he has promised to open the account tomorrow.

"When I start scoring I am not going to stop. I am targeting the Golden Boot. I am not going to Bulawayo for a honeymoon but to cause pain to Highlanders.

"I respect Innocent (Mapuranga) very much because he knows me and he has good timing as I used to train with him.

"I used to score at training and the same will happen," said Ncube.

Highlanders have so far suffered three losses during the pre-season giving its technical team some sleepless nights.
