Bosso misses out on Milton Ncube, Peter 'Rio' Moyo transfer jackpot

Highlanders duo of Milton Ncube and Peter 'Rio' Moyo have both agreed terms with Ajax Cape Town and Mpumalanga Black Aces respectively and should complete their moves in June, but there is no cash windfall for Bosso.
The two are tied to Highlanders until June whereupon they will be free agents and are set to sign lucrative deals with the Absa Premiership sides, leaving Bosso with the unenviable task of looking for more funds for replacements.
The Bulawayo giants tried in vain to extend the contracts of the two Warriors players but they declined after attracting the attention of several clubs in South Africa during the Chan tournament. Sources this week told IndependentSport that the players have been offered good deals.
Ncube has been offered a signing on fee of R450 000 while midfielder Rio is set to pocket R250 000 as his signing on package.
"It's unfortunate that after the club gave them the platform to shine, when the two leave there are no financial rewards for the team," said the source.
"The two player's contracts ran out at the end of last year and they agreed to extend their stay only until they join the South African clubs. The only benefits are the contributions they are making on the field but their move abroad will not help the club."
Amini Soma Phiri who represents both players confirmed there are moves being lined up for the two players but declined to give details.
"There is something that is coming up for them but it is not yet done, I do not want too much publicity on these boys it jeopardises everything," said Phiri.
Highlanders and Dynamos, the country's biggest clubs often rely on freebies and borrowings, and fail to take advantage of their stature to tie down players to long term contracts.
At the end of last season Dynamos lost two players, defender Gift Bello and midfielder Boban Bogere after the club failed to negotiate new contracts on time.
Dynamos coach Kalisto Pasuwa was disappointed that the club failed to negotiate a new deal especially for Bello after leaving it too late with FC Platinum pouncing on the lapse.
When former Dynamos midfielder Denver Mukamba moved to Bidvest Wits in South Africa, there were no financial benefits for the Glamour Boys who were using the player on a loan deal.
To their credit DeMbare moved swiftly to offer goalkeeper George Chigova a new deal and will benefit from the player's move to SuperSport.
Most local clubs wait until a player's contract elapses before they enter into negotiations for a new one, leaving themselves vulnerable to South African clubs that are always on the prowl for top Zimbabwean talent.
