Former Njube High School midfielder offered 3 year deal in France

FORMER national Under-20 and Bantu Rovers FC midfielder Marvellous Nakamba has been offered a three-year contract by French club AS Nancy who are in Ligue 2.
The former Njube High School pupil has been in France for the past two years and his contract with AS Nancy runs out at the end of the month.
Nakamba played his first full game for the French club that missed promotion to the topflight last week when his side beat Angers 3-0. On Friday, he started on the bench and was introduced in the second half when his side played a goalless draw with Benjani Mwaruwari's former club Auxerre.
In an interview yesterday, Nakamba who spent the better part of his two-year contract in the club's developmental side, was over the moon for breaking into the senior team and said he is still weighing options before committing to AS Nancy.
"My contract ends at the end of the month and I must say these have been two exciting years for me. The club wants me for another three years but I haven't signed the contract as yet because we are still negotiating. The other thing is that I have heard from my agent that there are some clubs here that have been tracking me and are interested in my services so we will hear what they are offering," said the former Young Warriors star.
He could not be drawn into revealing the name of his agent but Bantu Rovers are the ones who facilitated his move to France after failing to secure a deal in Belgium two years ago.
Nakamba, who played alongside Kudakwashe Mahachi who will be leaving soon for trials in France and the Moyo twins Elvis and Kevin who turn out for FC Platinum, said AS Nancy has developed his career.
"My game has improved. It was not easy because I wanted to play in the first team but the coaches thought I needed to develop first and add a few kilos before joining the senior team. I had to be patient and worked extra hard to make sure that I realised my dream. I had to be mentally stable and physically fit so that I break into the senior team. The other thing that I think made it difficult during the first days was the language. It was difficult to communicate but the last season was great.
"I played a lot of games for the reserve side and it's unfortunate that the season is ending when I was beginning to enjoy my game. I hope to continue from where I left from next season and my target is to command a regular first team place," Nakamba said.
He said being a regular will improve his chances of playing for the national team.
"Obviously I want to play for the national team but I have to get regular first team action. I am happy to see my friend Mahachi being in the senior national team and I wish them well. It is my wish that one day I will be able to represent my country just like I did in the junior teams," said Nakamba.
