Mpopoma and Luveve share spoils in the Districts Games

Mpopoma Districts were held to a goalless draw by Luveve in the under 14s match played at Somhlolo Stadium koBango in match pregnant with skills galore from the youngsters who gave the appreciative crowd value for their time on a Saturday morning. Led by Denzel Khumalo, Mpopoma failed to turn their dominance into goals thereby dropping 2 crucial points at home.
In the under 16s Mpopoma turned on the power to collect maximum points through an Samuel Madamombe second half strike that ensured that Mpopoma Districts maintained their unbeaten run in the District league games. However, Luveve Districts were trailblazing in the under 18s thumping a depleted Mpopoma 2-0 to maintain their own unbeaten run in the process also giving Mpopoma their first defeat of the games.
Pumula Districts found the going tough in their games against the determined Magwegwe Districts who thumped them 2-0 in the under 14s Magwegwe went on to demolish Pumula 3-0 in the under 16s before completing the rout with a 2-1 win in the under-18s.
On a disappointing note, Makokoba Districts who are made up of highly powered teams Bantu Rovers, Highlanders,AmaZulu, Nguboyenja Real Rovers, E.M. Sports Academy, and F.M.H Academyn failed to travel to Nkulumane to take on Nkulumane Districts. Makokoba who were thumped in their first games by Mpopoma have shown a lot of dis-organisation and arrogance towards games which hindrance and an opportunity lost on the development of the boys in a squad set-up.
