CHIREDZI FC's only win of the season came from Bulawayo and Moses Chunga is hoping that another win is possible for his team when they face Chicken Inn in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Luveve today.
During Round Six, David Temwanjira struck a brace as Chiredzi beat Bantu Rovers for what has remained their only win of the season so far.
The troubled Lowveld earned another three points from as many draws. A lot has been happening at the side, with the maverick coach having challenges with his team's executive.
Chunga was placed under an internal investigation over allegations that he took $4 000 from the cash offices during their league match against Dynamos last month.
As the probe intensified over the cash, Chunga resigned from the club before reserving his decision 24 hours later.
But a section of the executive, led by chairman Charles Muchatukwa, appeared determined to kick Chunga out while the coach remains the "people's choice".
This week, the executive and Chunga were summoned by the Premiership to find a solution to the bickering at their club.
And Chunga is confident that the drama off the field will not distract them from their pursuit of three points.
"We are playing in Bulawayo again this weekend and we hope it will be a good game for us.
"It was the same venue when we got our first three points and I would like to believe that Luveve will be our good hunting ground," said Chunga.
Chiredzi did well in their last match as they held Hwange to a draw while Chicken Inn also shared the spoils with Shabanie at Maglas.
