Zimbabwe's rising football star, Kudakwashe Mahachi has begun training with French giants, AS Monaco where he has been given a lifetime opportunity of impressing during trials.
In the shadow of the rocks overlooking the city centre of Monaco, lies La Turbie, the training ground of the French giants.
It is at this training facility that Mahachi will in the next few weeks seek to impress the new technical staff that took over from Claudio Ranieri at the team popularly known as the Red and Whites.
The Mamelodi Sundowns player, who is currently on loan to Bulawayo giants, Highlanders recently joined up with France's seven time champions, AS Monaco for a trial stint.
His first training session with Monaco was on Monday.
Mamelodi Sundowns spokesperson, Kabelo Mosito confirmed that the Warriors forward will be in France for the next few weeks, seeking to impress Monaco's recently appointed Portuguese coach, Leonardo Jardim.
For a country that is starved of football heroes, fellow players, the local media and supporters will be following proceedings with keen interest, expecting the young dribbling wizard to impress and follow in the foot steps of players such as Harlington Shereni and Benjani Mwaruwari who turned out for French topflight outfits.
If successful during trials, Mahachi could find himself playing alongside world class players such as Colombia's James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao, former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov, and former Chelsea and Real Madrid defender, Ricardo Carvalho.
