NEW How Mine coach Luke "Vahombe" Masomere has sent a bold message to Dynamos before their epic battle in the One Wallet Cup final at Mandava Stadium tomorrow.
"I do not have any special message for DeMbare but I have a football message. I have come to How Mine at the right time. I am preparing for the 2015 season and my preparations start tomorrow at Mandava. I am building a team for next season and my preparations start with Dynamos and they can easily be my victims.
"I am not fighting relegation with How Mine but we are there to compete and tomorrow we are going to play and we will not be under any pressure. Every team and every coach plays in cup competitions and we are going to be happy if we proceed to the finals," said Masomere.
He joined How Mine on Tuesday taking over from Philani "Beefy" Ncube who resigned two weeks ago. He is being assisted at Chikurupati by Isheunesu Chaka.
How Mine's best has been going as far as the final of the Mbada Diamonds Cup which they lost 3-0 to Highlanders last year.
They had a fairly good start this year going three rounds in the Confederation Cup.
Masomere also pointed out that he does not fear the defending league champions.
"I do not fear Dynamos. They are not playing in their own league but we are playing in the same league so we are here to compete. I am urging the Dynamos fans to come to Mandava in their numbers," said Masomere.
The self-proclaimed doctor of football said he was planning for positives and apart from having a message to the opposition fans he also had a special message for his new team.
"I am appealing to all How Mine fans to come and support me. We need to build the team for 2015 together," said the outspoken coach who will be missing Menard Mupera who is recovering from injury.
Masomere could not single out any single player for special mention at How Mine.
"I have not seen them play so I don't know how they play but I am just relying on team spirit," said Vahombe.
Masomere is known for mind games and last season his Shabanie side sent Dynamos packing out of the BancABC Sup8r semi-finals at Barbourfields after a penalty shootout. It still remains to be seen if the coach can repeat the same feat at Mandava.
Masomere was in charge of Shabanie last season before he left for Buffaloes. He has coached a number of teams in the Premiership including Dynamos, Caps, Hwange, Masvingo and AmaZulu.
Masomere has a tall order tomorrow and beating Dynamos with the likes of veteran Murape Murape in the team sounds like a tall order.
Chikurupati boast of midfield workaholics Thembani Masuku and Wonder Sithole. Sithole has played under Masomere and has featured for Dynamos as well.
James Chitereki, Kudakwashe Musharu, Timothy January, Godfrey Nguwodzawo, Gilbert Banda, Xolani Moyo, Eddie Muzanenhamo, Caleb Masocha and George Magariro are some of the players that are expected to lead How Mine to the final of the One Wallet Cup.
Dynamos have Roderick Mutuma back from suspension with Murape to guide a Dynamos side eager to shake off their troubles by adding another piece of silverware to their cabinet.
