Bosso keeper in SA on trials

HIGHLANDERS' goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya is in South Africa on trials at National First Division side, Witbank Spurs.
Diya left last Tuesday for week-long trials and is expected back in the country tomorrow.
The transfer window closes tonight at midnight and if Diya makes the grade the club will have to hasten to put the players into their books.
If successful he will join former teammate at the Bulawayo giants, Cleopas "Balletoli" Dube who was snapped by the club early this month after a successful trial stint.
Highlanders' chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede confirmed that Diya was at the club for a week-long trial stint.
"He left for South Africa five days ago for trials with Witbanks Spurs and we expect him back early next week," said Gumede.
In the event that Diya leaves Highlanders, Nkosana Maseko could rise in the pecking order. The young goalkeeper is part of the junior quota of players as demanded by the PSL.
Diya acquitted himself well when he took over as first choice goalkeeper from Ariel Sibanda last year but lost favour with Highlanders supporters early into the 2014 Premier Soccer League season when his blunder gifted Chicken Inn an opportunity to level the scores in the dying minutes of a PSL encounter.
The Bosso multitude proved unforgiving and the goalminder has since played second fiddle to Sibanda although he has been the first choice in cup games.
Diya could be the fifth player from Bosso to join the trek to South Africa this year following moves by Peter "Rio" Moyo, who has, however, been discharged from Mpumalanga Black Aces, Milton Ncube, who was snapped up by Ajax Cape Town, Kuda Mahachi, who had been on loan with Sundowns, Khumbulani Banda who has joined Maritzburg United and Dube.
