Still no Nyaradzo bus for Bosso

WITH seven matches before the end of the Premier Soccer League season, there is still no sign of the Highlanders bus they were supposed to receive from Nyaradzo Funeral Services.
Chief executive of the club Ndumiso Gumede said there were "legal and logistical issues" that needed to be attended to.
"I know that during the meeting in July my chairman said the bus was coming anytime. There are mechanisms of getting the bus delivered to us, it's not just a directive from us to say the bus should come. There are legal and logistical issues that need to be taken into account before the bus is delivered to us.
"Our driver went for a familiarisation exercise for the bus in Harare last week. He was supposed to spend two days there, but he ended up familiarising himself with the bus for one day. The sponsors were happy on how he handled the Iveco 46-seater bus," he said.
Nyaradzo managing director Webster Chikengezha, who is also the Dynamos secretary-general, said Bosso know what they have to do. Dynamos received their bus long ago and have been using it for the better part of the season.
"Talk to Highlanders. I did not attend their meeting. The bus is available. Their driver tested the bus. Highlanders know whatever is holding the bus," he said.
Other clubs that have received their buses under the Score Pack programme - smaller in size though - are Caps United and Buffaloes.
Highlanders and Dynamos are both sponsored by BancABC and it is understood that the bank suggested they would top up the money offered by Nyaradzo to buy buses that fit the status of the two Zimbabweans giants.
In May, Southern Eye reported that the Highlanders executive was wary of appending its signature on the bus contract with Nyaradzo Funeral Group as it feared violating the contract with BancABC.
Club chairman Peter Dube said they were still looking forward to receive the bus, but referred questions back to Nyaradzo, who in turn took this publication back to Bosso.
