Technical changes looms at Bosso

TECHNICAL changes are looming at Bulawayo giants Highlanders with legendary Willard Mashinkila Khumalo reportedly set to be assigned other duties within the club set-up.
Bosso are badly shaken following back to back losses in Harare that saw them losing 1-4 to old nemesis Dynamos in the TM Supermarkets Challenge match at the National Sports Stadium before another trip to the capital compounded their misery, falling 0-1 to Harare City in a league match.
The loss to Harare City saw Highlanders falling four points behind Dynamos with seven games before the season ends.
Sources close to the Bosso offices said serious deliberations were underway on the possible remedies to the problems afflicting the club with some executive and board members reportedly not convinced that players alone were the sole problem at the club.
Highlanders' chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede yesterday confirmed that there has been consensus that an introspection was needed on the technical bench.
He, however, denied that Khumalo was set to be redeployed.
He added; "We ordered our coaches to go and have a serious introspection among themselves and to stay ready for a possible emergency meeting. In the meantime, we are consulting with our board of directors' human resources and legal committees on the repercussions of any decisions that are likely to be made."
There have been unconfirmed reports Khumalo and Kaindu have not been the best of friends but the Zambian refuted those reports while of late assistant coach Mark Mathe has also been thought not to be working well with Kaindu.
"We were very clear with our technical bench and even took time to remind them that a minimum of six clubs have had a change of guard (coaches) with the decision seemingly bearing positive results," said Gumede.
On Monday Bosso gave coach Kaindu a Premier League title ultimatum although his contract runs out at the end of next year.
The Zambian has been in charge of Highlanders since 2012 and is yet to win the league title, losing gold on goal difference to Dynamos, twice in a row.
Highlanders take on tricky ZPC Kariba at Hartsfield Grounds on Sunday before travelling back to Harare to face Caps United.
A derby will be on against Chicken Inn in Week 26 before they undertake another difficult trip to Hwange, a team that is yet to beat Kaindu since he took over.
Chiredzi will be their opponents after the Matabeleland North trip. They wrap up the season with matches against Shabanie Mine at Maglas Stadium and a home match against airmen Chapungu.
