Caps United captain, Tapiwa Khumbuyani says his side will enter Sunday's battle against Highlanders with two motives to revenge and consolidate their position to qualify for the Mbada Diamonds Cup.

United lost 4-nil in the first leg in Bulawayo and Khumbuyani declared that the Rufaro Stadium battle goes beyond just revenge as they eye a premiership top four that will see them qualify for the 2014 Mbada Diamonds Cup.

"We are in top form, we beat Black Rhinos and I know we will beat Highlanders because they are coming here and we are planning revenge. We also want to ensure that we win the match so that we can also be in the top four for the Mbada Diamonds Cup otherwise we will have nothing to talk about this season," said Khumbuyani.

Meanwhile, Caps United has launched a mobile application to connect with its supporters.

The application will provide news feed, insights into the goings-on at the Makepekepe camp which include the club's fixtures, starting line ups, formations, player profiles, club history and an interactive platform.

The application, which is charged at US$1 a year, is hoped to become one vibrant revenue stream through subscriptions.

"We want to connect with our almost a million supporters and hope that by year end, we may have over 30 000 users on the application. For the first year, it is dollar a year subject to review as time goes on. Our thrust really is not the financial gains but the connection that we will build with our supporters," Khumbuyani added.

The Green Machine faces a blood and thunder affair this Sunday against Highlanders and a positive outing may provide a fertile launch pad for the uptake of the social media application within fans.
