Bosso now a laughing stock, fans fume

Highlanders are no longer a source of pride for their supporters, following their recent pathetic showing in both league and cup games, The Zimbabwean Sport reported.
Far from an all-conquering outfit in the late 90s to early 2000s, the Bulawayo giants have become the laughing stock of the league, especially when judging by their latest showing.
Concerned fans shared their opinions on how the club should move forward if they are to regain their lost pride.
Canadian-based fan Malack Donga laid the blame on the club's administration, headed by former Bosso treasurer Themba Ndlela.
"Ndumiso Gumede is also way too old to manage that team. I cannot say much about him as an old man, but what's needed is a much younger vibrant chief administrator who will understand the dynamics that will work for club," Donga said.
"We also need to reconsider hiring Ali 'Baba' Dube as a full time juniors coach. We need to get rid of this culture of buying mediocre players and promote our homegrown juniors who understand the Bosso tradition."
Bizwick Phiri believed the club had lost too many players during the transfer period, but was hopeful they would bounce back.
"We lost good players like Milton, Rio, Mambare and others and that is affecting us now. There is nothing wrong with the coaches. We only need to have players who will deliver. The 1995 season was worse than this season but we bounced back. We will still pull through even now. I believe it's only a matter of time before we get the correct players."
He urged fellow fans to be stand united as the club tries to regain their past glory in the coming season. "We have to sit down and analyze where we have been making mistakes and then work towards improving on that. I believe that unity will see us through this bad time."
