Tough tackling Highlanders and Warriors defender Zephaniah Ngodzo is having trials at South African Absa Premiership champions SuperSport United we can reveal.
Ngodzo was due to join up with his teammates for the Warriors' Africa Nations Championships (Chan) camp in Harare, but will now join camp Tuesday.
His trial period ends today.
Sources said last night: "He communicated with the technical team that he was having trials at SuperSport United up to tomorrow (today) and will come straight to camp on Wednesday morning (tomorrow morning)."
Warriors caretaker coach Madinda Ndlovu could only confirm yesterday that Ngodzo would join camp tomorrow.
The defender has been linked with a move to Dynamos, who wanted him for the Caf Orange Champions League but has stated that he is not signing for any local team this season and will prefer a move to South Africa or Botswana.
Lately, cash rich Mimosa has enquired about his services and that of his brother Joel.
It is reliably understood that the trials started last Thursday when SuperSport held their open day at the team's training grounds at the Groenkloof campus in Tshwane where they unveiled new signings: goalkeeper Rowen Fernandez, defender Mario Booysen, SuperSport Tottenham Hotspur academy graduates centre-back Tshepo Gumede and keeper Rowan Williams.
