GOALKEEPER, Tapiwa Kapini took to the social networks to announce his departure from Amazulu over the weekend. There is speculation that Kapini might be returning back home to wind down his career at Highlanders.
One source said Kapini's chances of returning to Zimbabwean football, albeit temporarily, were high considering that the Absa transfer closed last.
The Zimbabwean number one posted on his facebook wall that he was no longer an Amazulu player.
"To all my friends yes it's true am no longer an Amazulu player, but there is something coming up just watch the space, God is for us All"
Kapini, 31, has been with Usuthu since 2011 when he was signed by Platinum Stars, establishing himself as their number one shot-stopper over the past few years.
However, following the signing of Energy Murambadoro from Mpumalanga Black Aces today, the Siya crew has been informed that Kapini is now on the lookout after making the decision to leave the Durban-based outfit.
Kapini, whose contract was set to expire at the end of the season anyway, has only played 20 games for AmaZulu over the past two seasons, and will now be looking to find himself a new number one spot elsewhere.
Kapini, given his lengthy spell in South Africa, has a Permanent Residence Permit in the country, and can therefore be signed and registered by any PSL side without the need for a work permit.
