Highlanders coach Bongani Mafu's job continues to be on the line with the club's executive saying they are not pleased with the team's performance.
Mafu has been spared the stick for now, but the club has refused to give assurance they will keep him if the poor run continues.
The Bosso of 2015 have been a pale shadow of the great teams produced at the Highlanders production machine over the years.
Highlanders supporters have been calling for the sacking of Mafu but the club's executive has been patient.
Their patience appears to have run out as they can no longer guarantee Mafu's job safety.
"Mafu's job is not quite safe. Every Monday we meet as an executive, but this Monday we could not meet to review our plan. The very next meeting will look at our concerns," said Ndumiso Gumede, Highlanders Chief Executive Officer.
Gumede, however, acknowledges Highlanders have been displaying good football yet results are not coming their way.
"Notwithstanding that the team may have been playing well, football is not boxing, we want results.
We have on many occasions put this across to the technical that we want results," added Gumede.
The Highlanders executive gave Mafu a target of ensuring a top four finish but Mafu's charges are languishing on 10th position.
Being trigger happy has, however, not benefited Bosso after they fired Kelvin Kaindu before replacing him with Mark Mathe.
Mathe was later sacked as Mafu was appointed.
