Zimbabwe has won a second gold medal at the ongoing African Games in Congo Brazzaville, with Kirsty Coventry romping to victory in the 200m individual medley.
The Olympic champion bagged Zimbabwe's first gold medal in the 100m backstroke on Tuesday.
It is now three medals for Team Zimbabwe after the 4x100m medley mixed team won a bronze medal today.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe U-23 soccer side lost 1-nil to Sudan to extinguish all hopes of qualifying to the next stage of the competition.
The Young Warriors had hoped to bounce back from their opening encounter loss to Burkina Faso by the same scoreline, but an injury time strike by Sudan condemned the Zimbabweans to a second loss at the games.
The loss left Zimbabwe at the bottom of Group B with no points and without any goal scored.
Even a win against already qualified Congo in the last match would be insignificant as either Burkina Faso or Sudan will go through.
