CONTRARY to assertions that Highlanders Football Cub was favoured by the Premier Soccer League it has now turned out that Bosso was the least disciplined team this season.
Highlanders came out bottom of the 2015 Fair Play table that is used to determine the most disciplined team. The table is determined through a points system where the team with the highest points is lowest while the one with the least points takes pole position.
Points are assigned for various misdemeanours that include accumulation of yellow cards, red cards, failure to attach name tags, using illegal entry points, delaying match kickoffs and standing order fines and when a team appears for disciplinary hearings.
Harare City scooped the Most Disciplined team award after garnering 210 points while Highlanders had 470 points.
Bosso's basement position might put paid to sentiments by their archrivals in the Dynamos camp that the Bulawayo-based team was getting preferential treatment from PSL officials.
Dynamos are second from bottom with 445 points.
Every yellow card earns a team five points while a red card is 10 points. If a team is fined $499 or less it is assigned 10 points with 30 points being added if the fine is $500 and above.
Harare City walked away with $10 000 for winning the award.
