Highlanders head coach Erol Akbay has revealed that there is a stampede from players from other teams to join his team.
The transfer window period opens today.
The Dutchman said he has so far accessed nine players.
However, he said they lack "Bosso quality' as he is seeking exceptional players.
This week, he said his current squad lack the pedigree to lift the championship.
According to reports, Tinashe Mpofu and striker James Salima from Chegutu Pirates are some of the players accessed.
"I have seen the two players (Salima and Mpofu), but they are not the quality we want at Highlanders.
"If you want to play for Bosso, don't forget that you need to have a special thing and that is what I am looking for," said Akbay.
"All the players we have had in the past days are good players, but they lack that special quality" he told reporters in Bulawayo Thursday
