In the Women's 200 metres Individual Medley final, Kirsty Coventry failed to live up to expectations and finished in 6th position. 16-year old Chinese Ye Shiwen claimed her second gold medal and set a new Olympic Record, finishing in 2 minutes 7:57 seconds.
Australia's Alicia Coutts won the silver medal, while Caitlin Leverenz, of the United States, got bronze.
