Highlanders Football Club has agreed to reinstate suspended CEO Ndumiso Gumede after the labour court ruled that his dismissal was unprocedural.
Gumede was suspended by Zifa president Philip Chiyangwa last week together with club chairman Peter Dube who he said had violated sections of the national association's constitution through alleged acts of misconduct.
Gumede wrote a letter to the labour court saying he was dismissed by Highlanders FC verbally and unilaterally.
In the letter Gumede also said Highlanders did so "without following due process, they alleged that they were complying with a Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) directive contained in a letter dated 13 November 2016 addressed to me and copied to them."
According to the labour court, Highlanders FC has agreed that Gumede was unprocedurally dismissed and will be reinstate without loss of salary and benefits.
