The Zimbabwe national soccer team is set to kick-start its 2013 Afcon qualifying campaign in February 2012 following the release of dates for qualifiers by the Confederation of African Football on Friday.
The Warriors will kick-start their 2013 qualifying campaign by clashing with Burundi on 29 February, with the return leg slated for the weekend of June 15 to June 17.
In the event that Zimbabwe rolls past Burundi, they will progress to the preliminary third round in September with the second legs set for October.
Zimbabwe were placed in the preliminary stages of qualification after failing to qualify for the 2012 Afcon event to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
The 2013 Afcon qualifiers will see 16 teams that qualified to CAN Orange 2012 getting an automatic bye from the first two rounds and entering directly into the final round of qualifiers that begin after the 2012 Afcon event.
