TWO South African top league sides and a National First Division side have shown interest in Highlanders central defender Peter Muduhwa.
The 2016 Castle Lager Soccer Star of the Year finalist is reportedly on the radar of Polokwane City, Bidvest Wits and National First Division side FC Cape Town.
His manager, Gibson Mahachi confirmed that three South African clubs had indeed shown interest in the 23-year-old utility player, but without revealing their identity.
"What I can confirm is that there have been enquiries about the player from three clubs in South Africa, but we have not met to discuss anything. They have only shown interest and Highlanders are aware, but we are just waiting for the next stage."
Highlanders treasurer, Donald Ndebele was locked in a marathon meeting yesterday, while acting chairperson, Modern Ngwenya and secretary-general, Emmett Ndlovu's mobile phones went unanswered.
Muduhwa signed a two-year contract with Highlanders last year from Division Two side Ajax Hotspurs, but the then coach Bongani Mafu decided that he be loaned to Division One side Bulawayo Chiefs from where he returned mid-season.
This year, under head coach Erol Akbay, Muduhwa started off on the sidelines warming the bench, but was thrown into the central defence following the injury of Honest Moyo against Border Strikers and since then became a regular with skipper, Felix Chindungwe sitting it out on the bench for the better part of the season.
Muduhwa has also attracted the attention of Warriors gaffer Kalisto Pasuwa.
