The Warriors Afcon camp is in turmoil as players are demanding $15 000 each for their three Group B  games.

The players  want $5 000 each  for  every group stage games against Algeria, Senegal and Tunisia.

They are also demanding a daily allowance of $300 per day per player for the duration of the tournament.

However,  ZIFA is understood to be reluctant to agree to the figures, believing they are too high.

Zifa spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela  the monetary allowances are confidential.

"Preparations of a tournament of this nature involve a lot of issues. As you are aware as Zifa, we are working with limited resources" he is quoted saying.

The Warriors are already guaranteed to get $475 000 from CAF with half of that already disbursed to each qualifying country for preparations.

The national team also recently secured a corporate sponsorship of $250 000 from Netone with ZIFA president Philip Chiyangwa stating that players now needed to deliver as the money was now there and should not be an issue.
