The  former Zimbabwe and Highlanders striker, Adam Ndlovu has been confirmed substantive head coach of Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Chicken Inn.

Ndlovu took over from Philani Ncube  three games before the end of the 2011 season and guided the Bulawayo  outfit to two wins.

Chicken Inn secretary Tawengwa Hara confirmed Ndlovu's appointment to the Daily News yesterday.

"Adam  Ndlovu is our man," Hara said.

"We have appointed him head coach after  he impressed us in the three games he was in charge towards the end of  the season. We have tremendous confidence in Adam and we are sure next  year will be a great season for us. Ndlovu will be allowed to choose his  own assistants. He is currently in the process of sounding out his  potential targets."

A  delighted Ndlovu said: "I am grateful to the club for believing in me. I  am ready for this big challenge and I will do my best to pay back the  honour. We will be conducting trials soon in order to beef up our  playing base. We will be regrouping just after the New Year."

According  to a well-placed source, Chicken Inn unsuccessfully tried to lure  former Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa before they handed the reins to  Ndlovu.

Chicken  Inn finished a creditable eighth in their debut season. They won 10,  drew 12 and lost eight in their maiden Premiership season.
