Former Chicken Inn gaffer Joey Antipas has been tipped to land the vacant Warriors top coaching post.

Antipas is currently with South African Division One side Amazulu.

Callisto Pasuwa's contract expired on Tuesday and he could be headed to  Malawi to take charge of the national team.

"Zifa will very soon be advertising for the post. They have not really engaged anyone, even informally, as that would have been breach of a contract with the previous coach," said an unnamed Zifa insider as quoted by the Herald.

Zifa vice president Omega Sibanda said they were yet to get into the trenches to begin the hunt for Pasuwa's successor.

"The Zifa executive is yet to meet over the national team. But we hope it will meet as soon as possible. I am sure by Thursday I will be in a position to give you something" said Sibanda.

Also in the running  according to the Herald is  Ngezi Platinum coach Tonderai Ndiraya who could be as Antipas assistant with Highlanders legend Peter Nkomo coming in as the goalkeepers' coach.

However, ZIFA  is said to be keen on seeking a foreign coach.
