Barcelona are believed to be prepared to test Tottenham Hotspur 's determination to keep Gareth Bale at White Hart Lane by lodging a £40 million bid for the wide man in the summer.
The 21-year-old has been in the form of his life this season, having successfully established himself at Spurs through strong performances on both the domestic and European stages.
