Yadah FC has abandoned the idea of using Chibuku Stadium for the 2017 premiership season following delays in the acquisition of a long term lease.
Premiership debutants Yadah FC have shelved plans to make Chitungwiza their home after lengthy delays in the processing of a long term lease agreement for the use of Chibuku Stadium.
Club owner Prophet Walter Magaya says a frustrating wait in the processing of a long term lease has seen the club losing patience and abandoning the idea of making Chibuku their home.
Yadah FC chairman Everson Chatambudza says the club is now negotiating with the Harare City Council for a lease that will enable them to use Gwanzura Stadium.
With Rufaro Stadium currently undergoing renovations following a decision to replace the artificial turf with natural grass, the National Sports Stadium and Gwanzura are the two available options for teams in Harare.
Yadah had been hoping to invest in Chibuku Stadium but delays in securing a long term lease will see the Eastern Region champions having to settle for Gwanzura Stadium.
