In his absence, the charges went through their paces under the care of assistant coaches, Amin Soma Phiri and Cosmas Tsano Zulu.
Mkabayi as Akbay is affectionately known among the Bosso faithfuls, however said that there had been a financial misunderstanding with the club which he said has since been resolved but dismissed talk of the reported strike action.
The popular Bulawayo side has been reeling under debts with indications that employees at the club had gone for some months without their dues.
Meanwhile, Bosso took the opportunity during its weekly press conference to officially unveil a new mealie meal brand through a partnership entered with a local milling company.
The move is expected to cushion the club as it will equally share the profits from the sales with the milling company.
