Caps United assistant coach Fungai Kwashi on Saturday thanked God for his side four nil victory against Chapungu at the National Sports Stadium.
"We thank God for the victory. We stay humble, we remain humble, we keep working hard and we look forward to the next fixtures," he said after the match.
Last season, some of the club's management officials and players spent countless hours visited a fast-rising Mabvuku prophet for prophecies during the season.
Grace Harvest Ministries International founder Tawanda Bondera (30) is famed for predicting that the Green Machine team was going to win the championship, something which came true.
"The whole of last year all of them were coming to church, I led them, as a prophet God gave me the messages to give them and all the messages I gave them came to pass. This is until they got the championship," Bondera was quoted saying in the media on Saturday.
Kwashi emphasised the importance of the big win ahead of the Harare derby against bitter rivals Dynamos set for next Sunday.
"It gives confidence to the whole team getting four goals at home and giving a good exciting performance, at the same time we do not want to go ahead of ourselves.
"We respect Dynamos, they are a big institution and we are also a big institution, so it's going to be a great contest next week," he said.
Striker Abbas Amidu scored a brace, Ronald Chitiyo and Dominic Chungwa added one each.
