HIGHLANDERS have suffered a major blow with the injury of top scorer Prince Dube, who strained a muscle.
Coach Erol Akbay was not sure of the exact time the striker will be sidelined but indications are that he will miss a couple of important games.
On Saturday Bosso failed to collect maximum points after a goalless draw against Chapungu at Ascot.
It is in that match that they were forced to substitute the striker.
"We had to pull him out. It will affect us a lot because he could be out for more than five weeks. But we will confirm how serious it is," Akbay told H-Metro.
The Dutch coach was disappointed his team fired blanks against struggling Chapungu.
He said: "We are not happy. We had a better first half and created two or three good chances. We could not score and when you don't score, the opponents gain confidence.
"It was difficult for us in the second half and we are disappointed we could not get full points from this game."
The result took Bosso to 13 points, the same number of points with Ngezi Platinum who were top by Saturday after winning their game. Tonderai Ndiraya's charges have a better goal difference.
Akbay believes this could turn out to be a very complex season.
"It is a very difficult season and just after our six games, you cannot really say much. Maybe after 28 matches, we can begin to talk about our situation. For now we just have to try and win our games. That is the most important thing," he said.
Bosso missed Honest Moyo who was on suspension for the Chapungu challenge but the coach insists it did not impact on their performance.
"Yes, he was out but the young man that came in for him did very well. We need to improve in the next game. This was a game I was not happy with generally," he said.
