THE Premier Soccer League has released a statement on the Chapungu, Dynamos match after receiving official reports from the Match Commissioner and Referee as well Chapungu on the abandoned Castle Lager PSL match.
The PSL statement reads:
"This serves to advise that we have received the official match reports from the Match Commissioner and Referee as well the home team for the abandoned Castle Lager PSL match between Chapungu FC and Dynamos FC played at Ascot Stadium on Sunday 18 June 2017.
"We are currently perusing the said reports and conducting internal consultations.
"Thereafter, we will advise all our stakeholders on the way forward."
Meanwhile, Dynamos have indicated to the Premier Soccer League might have to chip into foot their bills if they are to replay their match against Chapungu which was abandoned on Sunday after a goal collapsed at Ascot.
Dembare were leading 4-0 with goals from Denver Mukamba, Joel Epoupa Chrisitan Ntouba and Emmanuel Mandiranga's brace when match commissioner Israel Mugwagwa confirmed the abandonment with 56 minutes played.
Dynamos committee member Graham Mafoko yesterday said they were available to play the last 34 minutes of the game, but would want the PSL to help meet travel costs.
"The onus is on the PSL. If we are to go back to Chapungu I think they would also need to come in and meet our travelling costs because it is not our fault the match was abandoned. Neither was it Chapungu's nor the referees'," said Mafoko.
