Bosso board wants answers

IT'S the month of July and in the minds and hearts of Highlanders Football Club members, the time to review progress and interrogate problems bedeviling the club is beckoning.
The set up is the mid-year annual general meeting and the venue is the clubhouse.
The exact date is yet to be announced but indications are that the crunch meeting between the executive and the owners of the club - paid up members - is set for July. Here are some of the pertinent questions that the powers-that-be at Highlanders should expect from the club members.
Progress on the perimeter wall:
It's exactly nine months since Bosso embarked on an ambitious project to erect a perimeter wall around the clubhouse. But less than ten metres of the wall stands to date.
The business model around the perimeter was to partner companies and organisations to buy a section of the perimeter wall, a three-meter block for $550. In exchange the companies and organisations will enjoy two years of advertising on the blocks.
The number of blocks a company can buy is not limited to one.
The total cost of the 900 metre perimeter wall is pegged at $151 000.
Progress on turning clubhouse grounds green:
The club spends it's hard to come by revenue on hiring Barbourfields Stadium for training sessions for both the senior team and developmental side Bosso90.
Last year it was announced that the dusty grounds at the clubhouse would be turned green after the club managed to resuscitate a borehole at the facility.
To date the grounds remain dusty.
The only noticeable activity is a car wash business that operates at the clubhouse.
The performance of the senior team:
The mid-year annual general meeting gives club members a chance to evaluate and interrogate the executive on the performance of the team.
As things stand it's not looking good.
In his second season at the Bulawayo giants coach Erol Akbay is definitely not a happy man because his team is nowhere near the league pace setters.
For any team to seriously launch a title challenge, lurking outside the top three is definitely not the way to go.
Akbay needs to re-enforce his squad when the window transfer period opens and club members will want to know measures the executive is taking to avail funds to bolster the team with new players.
