Dynamos players up in arms with management

DYNAMOS players are up in arms against their management as they staged a sit-in for the second day to force the payment of signing-on fees accruing from last season. The players, who had been promised their money at the end of the month, reported for duty at Raylton for their routine training session yesterday but left without going through their paces.
The Harare giants are still trying to recover from the blow of losing to Hwange in the semi-finals of the Bob '88 Super Cup at Barbourfields on Sunday.
They have also come under heavy criticism for their decision to skip an invitational tournament in South Africa, which they could have used for their Champions League preparations.
DeMbare were scheduled to resume their pre-season preparations on Monday but the players could not heed the call to train and the session was abandoned again yesterday.
Head coach, Callisto Pasuwa, who is attending a refresher course organised by the Premier Soccer League, was not at the training ground.
Club chairman, Kenny Mubaiwa, said he was not aware of the players' actions and promised to look into the matter.
"It's true there are still outstanding bills to be paid and we are making efforts to clear everything.
"I am not aware that the players didn't train today (yesterday) because we had talked with them about the issue and we told them that we were hoping to get the money by the end of the month.
"However, things could not happen as we had expected but we are still pursuing that possibility of getting the money.
"The main problem that we face is that we don't have the money. We understand the players are owed and we made an undertaking to pay. So we are looking for the money," said Mubaiwa.
DeMbare's preparations for the 2012 season had been going on smoothly in recent weeks but the recent action by the players could derail the team's bid to make a big impact in the Champions League this season.
Team manager Richard Chihoro was not available for comment.
