THE Premier Soccer League will start the 2012 programme at the end of March with or without the other two teams from division one.

Chief executive Kenny Ndebele admitted they have been put in a tight corner as two teams promoted from northern and central region division one are yet to be confirmed.

Harare City and Hardbody who had won the automatic tickets from the respective regions were alleged to have used ineligible players.

The complainants DStv (Northern) and Tripple B (Central) initially got the judgment in their favour but Harare City and Hardbody appealed.

The drama has been going on and the issue has not been brought to finality.

While the Division One leagues have nothing much to lose from the current developments, PSL have a lot at stake.

"Our hands are tied. We are just waiting and hoping the issues will be resolved in time. There is nothing we can do about it.

"We have pushed the dates further to end of March before we can resume the league programme. But that will mean our programme will be very congested.

"If the issues are not finalised by end of March, we will have no choice but to resume the league," said Ndebele.

Although Ndebele could not elaborate further, it is very clear PSL are not amused by the situation.

PSL, who are expected to conduct a workshop with their sponsors and key stakeholders early March, look set to discuss such scenarios in great detail.

Ndebele confirmed they will discuss serious business for about three days aimed at improving the league and team's operations.

"The workshop will include our sponsors and key stakeholders. It has always been in the pipeline and we are trying to finalise on the preparations," he said.

"We will focus on a lot of issues which also include teams' operations. Over the years we have seen teams crumbling soon after relegation from the Premiership.

"We need to seriously look into those situations among other things."
