Zimbabwe football representatives in the gruelling African safari FC Platinum and Hwange face tough Sudan opponents in the next rounds.
Hwange who completed a 7-1 aggregate win by beating Zanzibar's Jamhuri 4-1 in a Caf Confederations Cup preliminary round tie at the Colliery Sunday face El Amal Atbara.
They date the Sudanese on the weekend of 23-25 March at the Colliery with a return game two weeks later.
FC Platinum are paired with El Merreikh in the first round of the Caf Champions League.
El Merreikh with 18 domestic league titles provided 8 players to Sudan's squad that reached the quarterfinals of this year's Afcon Finals in February.
It also reached the competitions mini league phase.
Just like Hwange, FC Platunim a fixture at home on the weekend of 23-25 March.
However, Hwange players are not in for rich picking from their core sponsor but will make do with normal winning bonuses.
Club President Freddy Moyo says the whole mining community 'is excited and depending on other factors I believe something could be done'
Hwange FC is not directly funded by the Colliery but sponsored through the town services department.
