TRIANGLE United coach Taurai Mangwiro believes his Highlanders counterpart Madinda Ndlovu is on the right track in restoring the Bulawayo giants' legacy of yesteryear.

Mangwiro was speaking soon after his side denied Bosso maximum points at Barbourfields Stadium on Good Friday following a nil all stalemate.

The result was the first point that the Lowveld side picked this year having lost their opening two games to Shabanie Mine and early season championship favourites, Ngezi Platinum.

The former Dynamos player who has also coached Caps United and had been appointed the Zifa technical director before quitting the post to join Triangle United said although they drew he was fully convinced that what he witnessed from the opposite camp was the Highlanders of old.

"I played, lost and won against Bosso even as a player, this is the Highlanders that we know. I want to congratulate Madinda for what he is doing; surely this is the Bosso of old. You can see what the man is building and indeed I want to congratulate Madinda for restoring the Highlanders of old which used to play entertaining football," said Mangwiro.

The legendary Ndlovu is on a three-year contract which has been dubbed "Operation  Restore Bosso  Legacy" in some circles.

Sources within the Bulawayo giants, however, revealed to this publication recently that the club is likely to extend Ndlovu's contract to five years if he manages to meet the expected objectives within the three years signed for now.
