The tag of war involving CAF and ZIFA over the hosting of champions league matches at Mandava stadium still rages on with the continental football body once again writing to notify the local football mother body that Saturday's match against Sudanese side El Merreikh cannot be played in Zvishavane.
In a letter dated the 18th of March, CAF is maintaining the 95km distance from Masvingo to Zvishavane still makes Mandava inaccessible and thus ZIFA should advise of the new venue within 24 hours.
ZIFA has however responded citing all the provisions put in place that both the El Merreihk team and match officials will be flown from Masvingo to Zvishavane and back and that payment has already been made towards the hire of the aircraft and accommodation in Masvingo.
The arrangement in place will see the visiting El Mereikh being flown by Zimbabwe Air force planes when they visit the country to play FC Platinum in Zvishavane on Saturday.
FC Platinum's home turf Mandava stadium had been banned by Caf as Zvishavane has no hotel.
