LLOYD Mutasa's future at Dynamos has been in doubt after a run of poor results that left the Harare giants in the relegation matrix.

DeMbare are two points away from the relegation zone having gone for three games without a win in the Premier League.

And after coming back to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Bulawayo Chiefs on Saturday, albeit in the Chibuku Super Cup, Mutasa said he is still ready to leave the club if his time is up.

Mutasa admits that he is aware of the rumours that he might be on the brink but will not rely on hearsay.

"You (as a coach) don't live on speculation," said Mutasa.

"But probably as a coach, irrespective of what people say, you are employed to do the job," he added.

Kalisto Pasuwa's name has been thrown into the ring as a possible replacement, a possible repeat of 2011 scenario when he took over from Mutasa.

However, Mutasa is not worried as it is currently his time.

"I am aware that there are many great Dynamos coaches who are there to come and work with this team.

"(But) you get your chance, you work if your time is up (and) God knows my time. If my time is up I will leave," said Mutasa.

Mutasa was delighted to see his side find the back of the net after 330 minutes.

DeMbare scored through Tawanda Macheke in the 60th minute having gone for three matches without a win or even scoring a goal.

After connecting a Phakamani Dube cross with a bullet header from close range, Macheke ran to the bench to hug his coach and was immediately joined by teammates.

"You play 270 minutes without scoring and you manage to score, you have to be satisfied because it has become very worrisome," said Mutasa in relation to the celebration.

"We just hope and pray that this victory sends a signal to the guys that we can do it.

"We wanted to break the jinx. For the past two seasons, we were eliminated in the first round and we say thanks to the boys. We managed to break the dark, three games without scoring," said Mutasa.

DeMbare shifts attention to the Premier League with the same opponents in a midweek fixture.
