Hwange Football Club is demanding a replay for their Sunday match against Dynamos in which their two coaches were assaulted by  the champion's marshals.

Coach Nation Dube and Mebelo Njekwa were brutally attacked by marshals just before the game in which Dynamos won 4-2.

Now, the coalminers who threatened not to play the Sunday game  after the attack have approached Premier  Soccer league seeking a replay.

Club secretary general Burzil Dube wrote to PSL "We are kindly requesting for a replay as the club feels that the players were traumatised and affected psychologically, hence did not put maximum effort as this incident affected them and was also compounded by the absence of coaches who were injured in this barbaric act perpetrated by Dynamos marshals."

Physical trainer Kenny Nyape and kit manager Andrew Zulu took charge of the game.

The rules of football allow the game, even in such a situation, to go on for the safety of the fans.

PSL CEO Kennedy Ndebele said he received the letter and they will issue summons to Dynamos.

"We have just received the official compliant from Hwange and we are proceeding with summons as per rules and regulations. We will get the confirmation of the dates for the hearing from the disciplinary committee," said Ndebele.
