THE Warriors' preparations for Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Guinea were rocked when chief striker Knowledge Musona was helped out of the training ground after suffering a knock at the National Sports Stadium yesterday.

Musona was helped out of the pitch by team doctor Nicholas Munyonga and physiotherapist Farai Muguwe following a collision with defender Partson Jaure towards the end of the afternoon practice session.

But Munyonga allayed the fears that the 21-year old striker, who had to watch the final moments of the training session from the sidelines with a heavily bandaged foot, could miss the big game.

The German-based forward is expected to play a big role in the qualifiers and Munyonga assured the nation that there was no need to panic over the knock.

"It's always difficult to assess an injury when it is still fresh but I have looked at it and it appears that it's nothing very serious.

"We will continue to monitor it but he should be able to train tomorrow (today)," said Munyonga.

There have also been concerns over midfielders Khama Billiat and Ovidy Karuru, who suffered a shoulder injury during training this week, but the team doctor said the pair is fit for Sunday.

Billiat missed Monday's training session nursing an ankle injury while Karuru sat out the next day complaining of pain in the shoulder.

But Munyonga said, apart from the scare caused by the German-based Musona's knock, the Warriors dressing room was in good shape.
