Delta has sent out invitations for the launch of 2011 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League to be held at the luxurious Wild Geese Lodge in Harare.
PSL chairman Twine Phiri said: "It's now a done deal and we are unveiling our new sponsor in Harare on February 25 and that should be good news for our football."
On top of sponsoring the 16-team Premier League, sources say Delta has also committed to sponsoring a new knock-out tournament, whose winner will represent Zimbabwe in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Said Phiri: "We have been working behind the scenes trying to get a good deal for the clubs, and we are happy to announce that we have finally secured a good sponsorship package for them with a reputable firm that has been a big player in our football for a long time.
"Our football has suffered badly in the past few years and we have a responsibility to rebuild it and we are happy, as the PSL board of governors, to announce that we have taken the first step by securing this sponsor for our league championship."
Twenty fours after the launch, the PSL will hold their annual general meeting to prepare for the new season which kicks off with the Charity Shield between Dynamos and Motor Action on March 6.
Kennedy Ndebele, the PSL chief executive, said the chairman will present his report for 2010 which saw Motor Action crowned champions but walking away with nothing.
Some of the issues to be discussed at the AGM include club licensing, statutes, office facilities, club structure, staff and crucially, the change of the football calendar to run from August to May/June.
